MARLBOROUGH: The Charitable Projects Club for Marlborough Area Newcomers and Neighbors (MANN) sponsored a family of four in Marlborough’s annual Department of Human Services Holiday Helper Program. Newcomers specifically chose to sponsor a family with both a toddler and a teenager, since adolescents are usually overlooked in these programs. Newcomer members contributed a total of $200.00 for the family. Gifts listed on the children s’ wish lis ts and a $40 Grocery Gift card for the family’s holiday dinner were purchased with the funds .

According to Alice Mulvey, a co-chair of MANN’s Charitable Projects Club, “Marlborough Newcomer members enthusiastically contributed to this fund. The club is especially happy to have donated to the Holiday Helper Program because we believe in supporting this great community.”

Charitable Projects also collected toys for the Toys for Tots program, and presented them to the State Trooper Barracks in charge of the donations.

MANN is a non-profit, non-denominational social club for both new and long-time members of the Greater Marlborough Area. For more information about all of MANN’s activities, visit www.MarlboroughNewcomers.com, or call 508-303-3424.
