The Marlborough Area Newcomers and Neighbors (MANN) Charitable Projects Club has donated two large boxes of children’s books and more than 75 magazines to the UMASS Memorial Marlborough Hospital. Nancy Myers, CAVS Co-coordinator of Volunteer Services at the Hospital, thanked MANN for the donations, and said that the magazines would be distributed throughout the hospital’s seven reception areas. Myers also said the donated books will be used as part of the hospital’s Blue Cross Blue Shield Grant for the Reach Out and Read Program, which is devoted to literacy. The hospital invites patients and patrons of all ages to take home the books for free.
